Tutoring Freebie

Many of us have side jobs that we do to earn a little extra money, or to occupy our time over summer. One of the side jobs that I have is tutoring. I love to work with students of all different ages, and I really enjoy working with them on topics that they need the extra focus in. Since I previously taught math, most of the students that I tutor are struggling in math. Communication is key when working with students, which is why I created this " Today in Tutoring " freebie that you can grab in my store. This is basically just a simple paper that you can send home with your tutor kids that tells parents what you did in tutoring that day and to remind them of when he next tutoring session is. If you tutor older kids, you could have them fill this out at the end of the session to review everything that they covered. Enjoy! -Hilary

Quizizz is similar to Kahoot & Quizlet Live, and just as simple and fun to use. Each of your students need a device or computer. It's simple to join via a code - students don't even need an account! Check out my  "how to" video  on using Quizizz, as well as some way to use it in the classroom. Try it out & let me know what you think, Mrs. Tech

Webquests!

Webquests are so fun! Do you know what a webquest is? Basically, your students are given a website to go to (via QR code or website link) and go there to find answers to questions that they are asked. Webquests are a fabulous way to incorporate technology and discuss digital safety with your students! As a technology teacher, webquests are one of my absolute favorite ways to share information with my students. You know how they say that students remember the information better if they find it for themselves? Well I am a firm believer in that! I would say that over 50% of my TpT store is webquests simply because I believe so strongly in them and in how my students learn by using them! There are a wide variety with many more to come. Check out some of the ones I have by clicking on the links below: Animal Research Sports Research 3 Branches of Government 50 States Presidents of the US Planets Periodic Table of Elements Holiday's  If you want to try one out, here is ...
